Star Wars Anniversary Signing 

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the release of the original STAR WARS, many events occurred around the country, book signings, fan events, special conventions. Rebecca and I were asked to do a book signing at the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Colorado Springs. Though it's been many years since either of us has done any new STAR WARS work, we've written nearly 60 projects for Lucasfilm, and the fan base is still very strong.

Loyal members of the international 501st Squadron -- the largest and most dedicated STAR WARS fan group -- arrived in full costume to show their support. We had several stormtroopers, a stealth trooper, a Clone Wars stormtrooper, a bike trooper, and a fully outfitted Darth Vader. (Rebecca and I have each been made honorary members of the 501st.)

Anyone who attended received one of the SANDWORMS post-it notes pads. We sold a lot of STAR WARS books, but also some copies of ILL WIND, CRYSTAL DOORS, and quite a few DUNE and SEVEN SUNS novels. We love it when the fans cross over from one series to another.
