The Web and the Stars 

The second novel of my Timeweb series is scheduled for publication in December, 2007. As part of the marketing for this book, I will be giving away collectible items for fans who come to see me and Kevin J. Anderson during our August tour for Sandworms of Dune. I've never considered myself to be very good at marketing. Like many authors, I'm better at sitting in my study and writing novels. But when I get out of the house and actually start talking with fans, it is actually very enjoyable for me, and a real break from the rigors of writing. Maybe I can even inspire someone to write their own novel, and can provide him or her with a promotional notepad for the first notes of a great story! Borrowing an idea from the Chinese, each story begins with one word.
