A Day Off

All of two days home to get reacquainted with my own bed, my own house, and the attention-starved cats. Rebecca arrived home from WorldCon the same day, and so we spent Tuesday and Wednesday unpacking, doing laundry, opening mail, paying bills, answering phone messages, replying to e-mails, and trying to get caught up.

We leave on Thursday morning for Atlanta, to spend four days at DragonCon, where I am the literary Guest of Honor.

For those of you who could not see us in person, a video interview with Brian and me has been put up at http://www.expandedbooks.com/book.php?bookid=130

With so much traveling and signing and promotion, I am really feeling behind on my writing. Over the past three weeks I've had very little time to concentrate on and do detailed revisions to the 730-page manuscript for METAL SWARM. Brian is snatching every free moment to do a little editing on SANDWORMS. After Labor Day weekend (we come home September 4), I'll finally have a chance to get back to editing again.

As I mentioned early on when I started writing this blog, I intended to continue posting entries through the writing and production of HUNTERS -- and now that is coming to an end. I still have a handful of posts to make, but I'll soon be throttling back and adding new entries only rarely. That should give you all time to read not only HUNTERS, but the "Seven Suns" series, and TIMEWEB, and DREAMER OF DUNE, and everything else you need to catch up on!
