New Dune Short Story Published

As I've stated in previous blog entries, Brian and I have written two new "Dune" short stories as a lead-in to HUNTERS and SANDWORMS. The first of these stories, "Sea Child," tells of one of the exiled Reverend Mothers on the ocean world of Buzzell, trapped there when the Honored Matres conquer the planet.

We wrote this story for the Tsunami-relief anthology, ELEMENTAL, which will be published in hardcover next week by Tor Books, edited by Steven Savile and Alethea Kontis. Brian and I are donating all proceeds from this story to Save the Children to help the recovery efforts from the tsunami in Sri Lanka. We will not be uploading the story here on the website, so you'll have to pick up a copy of ELEMENTAL. Read a good story, help a good cause.
