Here's an interesting item from the scrapbooks, an old photo found by Frank Herbert's daughter Penny (who is Brian's sister and also the mother of Byron Merritt, who does such a creditable job handling much of the fanmail that comes to the dunenovels website.

Penny thinks (but isn't positive) that this photo was taken in Mexico during the filming of the David Lynch DUNE.

Sorry there's no time for a long entry this time. I have a lot of revisions to do in HUNTERS and I promised Brian I'd give him the Draft 3 manuscript when I see him this weekend. Then I turn immediately to SANDWORMS, while he takes a crack at Draft 4 of HUNTERS.

At Orycon, we will also be giving out collectible promo booklets for THE ROAD TO DUNE and even some full-color posters from THE MACHINE CRUSADE. We will also be reading a few draft chapters of HUNTERS, for anybody who is interested in a sneak preview!
