Sandworms of Dune -- The Last Blog

When I started this blog last October I had intended to use it as a way to keep all Dune fans updated on news items as well as to show you the step-by-step process of writing, editing, and publishing HUNTERS and SANDWORMS.

Now that Brian and I are both home and catching up from our HUNTERS OF DUNE book-signing tour, it's time to get back to the real writing. I am finishing the final edit on METAL SWARM (in the next several days), and Brian has already sent me his final draft of SANDWORMS, for me to do one last read. The overwhelmingly positive reaction on HUNTERS -- both in our fan mail and in the best-ever performance on all the bestseller lists -- has given us even more enthusiasm to keep working.

For those of you who are still interested in the interaction and regular updates, I will be posting a less-formal blog and conversation on myspace (www.myspace.com/kevinjanderson). Please join me over there if you like, sign up to be my "friend" -- I'm rather new to MySpace, but it seems like it could be quite a lot of fun.

As a final treat, I'm including here Stephen Youll's artwork for SANDWORMS OF DUNE. It's a spectacular painting, one of his best, and also very provocative. Brian and I hope it will keep your interest until the publication of SANDWORMS next fall.

Thank you all for reading and enjoying Dune.
