Bestseller UpdateOver the past few months I've had various titles appear on bestseller lists, but I've found myself too busy to blog about them -- I was either promoting the books through appearances and signings, or in the down-time, I was at home busily working on JESSICA OF DUNE or TERRA INCOGNITA. Now, finally, a quick summary. The PAUL OF DUNE hardcover spent many weeks on the New York Times and other bestseller lists, reaching #2 on the Locus science fiction bestseller list. The paperback of SANDWORMS OF DUNE also hit the New York Times list, reaching higher than any of our previous Dune novels. The audio version of PAUL OF DUNE was nominated for Publisher's Weekly's "Listen up" award for best science fiction audio. The paperback of LAST DAYS OF KRYPTON also hit many chain bestseller lists and reached #2 on the Locus list. My humorous horror anthology BLOOD LITE reached #2 on the Barnes & Noble bestseller list, #3 on Borders, and #4 on Locus. (The December issue of Locus had PAUL, KRYPTON, and BLOOD LITE all in the same bestseller section.) So it's been a busy couple of months. In other news, we've just received the Spanish cover for the translation of SANDWORMS OF DUNE, which looks gorgeous. And audible.com is running a special on the unabridged audio for HIDDEN EMPIRE, the first book in my "Saga of Seven Suns." $4.95 gets you the complete novel, a great way to sample the series if you want to give it a listen. -- KJA
